school and such
so this is basically the portland blog; updates on school and such.
housing isn't quite what i had initially expected, they want us to pay for internet but they misled us when they said we'd already have it.... however, we missed the part when they muttered '(only in the basement)' aka student commons. QUE?? AI wants to screw me again? i'm shocked- eh not really, they don't pay for much anyways. aside from that this whole community living thing is kind of a joke- its more like an excuse to placate responsibility on individuals for those kids who are used to their parents cleaning their messes. hopefully i'll be out soon.
but all is not forsaken- portland is a nice city. the people are courteous and though the weather isn't completely ideal, i much prefer the rainy season to the fire season. also, tap water here tastes a lot better.
aside from the building i live in and the town, school is still school. argumentation and research is kicking my ass, materials and processes is about as monotonous as watching a snail race, but at least computer graphics is easy.
i don't know, i guess the last thing now is to GET A DAMN JOB. now i have to get back to getting my ass kicked by my research paper.
